America lost its image?

The one thing America has not seen in a long time would be some favorable news from other countries. Hertsgaard shows us examples of how many people outside and inside of America think not only our are egos to big but also our leadership needs to be improved. Along with that most people in America are also blind to the rest of the world around them. If you think about the 9/11 attacks you could remember that we never blamed the people that did the attacks or even the organization; we started blaming the culture and the entire race even if they were innocent. Americans never actually thought about how this pointing fingers would make us look like primates and just get use ridiculed by the countries that thought we were the best and even looked up to us to maybe even become as great as us (by economic, political, and intellectual). Now most countries want to be just like us in economical. What do you think made America so egotistical and ignorant and do you think that we can ever change our imagine to the way it used to be where everyone would admire us by our economical, political, and intellectual power?

I think American became egotistical, ignorant and arrigant when we became so greddy. I feel that if we as a nation were not so money hungry, then maybe we would care about others over seas. I mean, do we really not see that we are the bullies? Americans went over seas and negan killing people over a conflict that they were having. This is just like saying a husband and wife are having a complicated marriage, and someone that the wife met yesterday comes along and kills her husband. This is nonsense. We as Americans need to stand up and man up to our own responsibilities and leave others along. This also known as sweeping around our own front door.

People have become wrapped up in themselves. This can hurt the people around them and destroy relationships. This narrow sitedness has become a kind of stereotype for Americans. People from out of the country expect me to only care about myself and to not care about their ideas and beliefs. Many people view this as a personal insult and have a bad image of the US because of it. To get rid of this image we need to become more open minded and to look at whats happening in the world around us

America is kind of spoiled in way and that kind of shields us from the real world. We don't really experience the true reality that goes on in other countries. So day by day we americans think more of ourselves rather than other issues. The people that do pay attention to the problems around are the ones that experience it everyday.

As Americans, it is evident that we are given many privileges that other countries do not enjoy. Because of these advantages and freedoms that we take for granted, other countries see us in a different light than we see ourselves. Due to our actions in foreign politics, even our allies question who is in control. We have definitely changed since the days of true patriots- a large percentage of our populace does not even care to vote. If we are to be looked up to as a country, we need to care about our country first.

America may not be the perfect country, but i don't believe that any other country is either. People are always so hard on America and talk about how "big, bad, and stupid the American people are", but there are always going to be people who are ignorant. There are always going to be people that just don't care. I'm sure American citizens are just like citizens from other countries as well. I'm sure those people exist in every country. So why are we the only country who are filled with these ignorant people. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of ignorant people in America, but I think that we are being to narrow minded about the actions of other countries as well.
